“God I hate early film clips” He mumbled

“I’ve been awake since 1” I said

“You should’ve woken me” He said

“It’s all good” I said kissing his cheek

“If I didn’t have morning breath I’d give you a long kiss” He said. I laughed and pressed my lips against his.

“I can handle morning breath” I whispered when we broke the kiss

“Is there anything you can’t handle?” He asked

“Dick cheese” I said with a cringe. He cracked up laughing and sat up.

“Than I guess I should go and wash up” He said. I gave him a funny look and he grinned.

“Jus trickin” He said. I laughed and slid out of bed, stretching a bit before looking into the open wardrobe.

“What do you wear to a film clip shoot?” I asked

“You wear whatever, cos the make up people and wardrobe people pick out the best clothes for each person/scene” AJ said

“Ugh I’m so nervous” I said pulling out a pair of baggy camo pants and a shirt.

“It’s normal to be nervous on a shoot. I’m nervous too” He said

“I wonder how Taz and Jenn are doin” I said with a bit of a grin. AJ laughed as I grabbed my clothes and went into the bathroom. Jenn and I made breakfast for everyone while they were waking up and getting ready. AJ and Kev, were already dressed and they had set the table and were now sitting at the breakfast bar, telling us about how film clips were usually shot.

“You don’t necessarily make the film clip n the order of the verses and chorus. Sometimes you might have to make the last verse first so you can get the best lighting” Kev was saying

“Are they hard work?” Jenn asked

“They can be if you’re not in the mood to work. But we sually have fun at them. We take a football and a baseball, and mit and play around. We talk to the extras if there are any” AJ said

“There’s no extra’s in this one is there” I said

“Nope, just us 8” He grinned. Taz appeared in the doorway wearing a rather revealing top. You could see her boobs plain as day. Kev was about to say something but I nudged him and shook my head, a mischievous grin formed on his face and he nodded just enough for me to see. AJ and Jenn quickly diverted their eyes.

“Moring Taz, food?” I said handing her a plate of bacon and eggs.

“thnks” Se said and grabbed a glass of juice and a cup of tea before sitting at the table.. Everyone else eventually turned up in the kitchen and we sat down to eat. Nic sat opposite Taz, grinning at her like a silly little school boy.

“What?” She asked finally. I covered my mouth so I didn’s start laughing and looked at Jenn who was also trying not to laugh.

“Nothin babe, I just think you look real hott today” Nick said. Taz grinned at him and finished off her bit of bacon.

“Whycan’t you be that nice to me?” I asked AJ

“Cos you never wear anything quite that hott” He said with a grin. I chuckled and Taz beamed proudly. Brian was shaking his head. I noticed Howie keeping his eyes well away from Taz. He didn’t speak much either. It must’ve been awkward for the poor guy, seeing his ex preggers.

“ We should get goin so we’re not late” Kev said as we stacked dishes on the sink

“But what about the dishes?” Taz said

“It’s ok I’ll do it when we get home tonight” AJ said. Over the months leading up to the film clip we’d met with directors and managers to discuss the content of the clip. They wanted something bizarre like having us performing it but Kev had pushed for the idea we worked on during our stay in Australia. In the end Kev won and we were now on our way to the main beach we had been closed off for the next 2 days.We arrived there just as the camera crew,  the sole journalist we’d invited along, Chris Kahn the director along with everyone else necessary to make a fil clip. There were 8 trailers in the carpark. 1 for each of the guys and 1 for each of us girls.

“We get trailers” I said to Jenn and Taz as we followed the guys over to their manager. There was food under a tarpaulin and I was suddenly extremely hungry. I ignored the ahe in my stomach and turned away from the food, eyeing instead the fridge filled to the brim with coke. There was a raging fire down the beach and Kev smiled at it admiringly.

“We’re gonna be singing around that soon” He said

“I’m nervous” I admitted to him

“Same” He grinned. There was a scream and we all turned to see Taz running for a trailer, she was covering herself as much as she could.

“Guess she just saw what she was wearing” I laughed. Kev chuckled and started over towards the director.

“Jai can I talk to you” Jenn said with a gentle smile

“Sure, what’s up?” I asked  She linked her arm through mine and started leading me away from the group.

“I know this is going to sound bad, but I just want you to know that I don’t mean it in a bad way” She said

“What?” I said, starting to get a little frightened of what she was going to say.

“Jaime I’m worried about you. You’ve lost so much weight in these past couple of months and you look like a skeleton” She said. I looked down.

“I know you haven’t been eating” She said softly

“I’m sure everyone has noticed by now” I mumbled

“I’m not the only one who’s worried about you, AJ is and Kev, everyone is so scared that you’re gonna get really sick” She said. I pulled my pants up a little and it registered in my mind that she was right. I gave a little chuckle and wiped away the lone tear sliding down my cheek.

“Guess I could put on a few kilos” I said

“We’ll all help you, every step of the way. All you have to do is ask for help” She said

“I just kept thinking that if I put on weight AJ would dump me” I said

“AJ is so goddamn in love with you it makes me sick, the only reason he’d stop being with you is because you’ve told him to get fucked. You know that as well as I do” She said. We were now near the fire and we both stared into it.

“You know, when I looked at the food up there I got so hungry it’s making me feel sick” I said holding my stomach and sighing.

“Well let’s go and have something” She said. As we walked back up towards the food tables I noticed Taz was ripping into Nick who was chuckling. I looked at all the delicious looking food on the tale and changed my mind about eating, deciding that it would make me look fat if I ate Jenn picked up 2 corissants and offered one to me. AJ was watching me intently. He gave me a reassuring smile and nodded. I took the croissant off her and studied it briefly.

“After you” Jenn said. I took a breath and lifted it to my mouth, taking a small bite. I savoured the taste and took another bite, a bigger one, chewing rapidly and swallowing. As soon as  I’d swallowed my stomach ache had gone. Aj looked so proud and Kev gave a little cheer. Brian, Nick and Taz broke out into a ittle cheerleading routine they’d no doubt been practicing. AJ came over and wrapped his arms around me.

“I forgot what food tastes like” I whispered to him

“I’m proud of you babe” He said. I smiled and looked over at Jane and Adam who were also smiling.

Chapter 42

The day before we were to release Forces of Nature was the day Jane was going home. Adam had decided to stay on with us for a while. I had my suspicions it was something to do with Taz. The 4 of us crowded into AJ’s car and started on the drive to the airport. Taz and Adam were mucking around in the back and it was nothing new for everyone else to be ignored. I looked in the rearview mirror and saw Adam holding her hand gently while they playfully slapped each other with their free hands. I smiled and kept my mouth shut.

“I hope you had fun here” I said to Jane instead

“I did, thanks so much” She grinned

“Anytime” I grinned

“Make sure you come visit me in Tassie when you guys are on tour” She grinned

“Hell yeah!” I said. She grinned and turned back to face out the window. I glanced into the rear view mirror again and saw Adam was now whispering something in Taz’s ear. I hoped she wasn’t gonna hurt Nick, but deep down I knew it was inevitable that they would break up. Hopefully Adam wouldn’t be the cause. At the airport, Adam and Taz mucked around in front of us and Jane finally noticed them.

“What’s goin on with those two?” She asked as we trailed behind them so they were out of ear shot.

“Dunno, but it looks like something huh” I said

“I’m not sure I wanna get involved. Nick seems like a really nice guy” She said

“He is” I agreed and watched Adam piggy backing Taz through the crowd. We waved Jane off and started back to the car.

“I need to pee” Adam said, quickly turning onto the corridor marked ‘Toilets’. I took the opportunity to talk to Taz.

“You know what you’re doing?” I asked

“Finally having my dream come true” She said

“Nick?” I asked

“I’m sure he’ll keep” She said. I decided to stay out of it and changed the subject to tomorrow.

“Isn’t it gonna be cool?” I asked her

“Oh hell yeah! But I really can’t wait for the tour. We’re gonna be the main act instead of the opener!” She exclaimed

“We should get Jason to tour as our massage therapist” I said

“That’d be so cool” She said I grinned and turned to Adam who was walking back towards us. When he got closer I bumped him with my hip and laughed when he ran into the wall.

“Come on, let’s go” I said and nodded towards the exit. Adam offered his arm to Taz and when I raised my eyebrows at him, he offered one to me also. I’m sure we got some funny looks as we skipped out to the carpark. Back at my place Taz was inside talking to Kev about a song she was writing and Adam, AJ and I were out on the back lawn in the warm evening light. AJ stood and said he was going to get more drinks. I looked at Adam.

“Jaime” He said looking away from me

“Adam” I answered

“I’m confused” He said

“About what?” I asked leaning back on my hands

“Tara” He said

“Mmhmm” I said

“I know she likes me” He said

“And?” I replied

“I’m not sure if I like her too” He said

“You act like you do” I said

“Yeah” He said

“Do you still like guys?” I asked. He’d always said he was gay.

“Yeah” He said

“Tara’s not a guy” I said

“I know” He said

“So what are you confused about?” I asked

“Well I like girls too, I think” He said

“Ahh” I said

“All you can say is ‘ahh’?” He asked

“No I could say a lot more, for instance, Nick is in love with her. She was also in love with him until you decided to start flirting” I said

“You’re cranky” He said

“No, just looking out for my 3 friends” I said

“You’ve known me for longer than you have Nick, you should favour me” He said

“Nope” I said

“You like Nick better because he’s hott” He grumbled

“I like Nick better because he’s a good root” I said with a smile

“So if I was a good root you’d favour me?” He asked

“I’ve never rooted you so I couldn’t say” I said

“I’m not gonna sleep with you” He said after a while

“Eww, I can’t believe you’d even suggest that” I said

“What are you staying I wouldn’t be a good root?” He asked. He sounded upset

“No, I’m saying I’d never root you” I answered

“Why not?” He asked

“Cos you take it up the pootube, the pootube, you take it up the pootube” I said. Both of us cracked up laughing but after a while calmed down.

“What should I do?” He asked

“You should do what your heart tells you to do” I said with a smile just as AJ came back carrying 2 bottles of beer and a coke.

“What are you 2 talking about?” He asked as he sat down

“Why I wouldn’t root Adam” I said nodding.

“Cos you’ve got me right?” He asked kissing my cheek and hugging me

“Of course” I answered. Adam chuckled and accepted the beer AJ handed to him.

“You know I’m starting to get a little tired, I think I might go to bed” I said to AJ when he handed me my beer

“Aww, are you sure?” He asked

“Yeah, I don’t wanna be hung over for tomorrow” I said

“Alright than. I’ll stay up for a while longer” He said. I nodded and gave him a gentle kiss before standing up and making my way to the house. I passed Taz, Nick and Kev who were still talking about the song and called out goodnight before going up the stairs to our bedroom. I undressed and slid between the sheets, listening to the sound of my friends downstairs. As I drifted off I heard AJ and Adam laughing about something through the open balcony doors. I woke up when I felt AJ climb into bed beside me and rolled over to look at him.

“Hey babe” He whispered

“Hey” I answered. He smiled at me and motioned for me to move closer. I slid over and snuggled up to him. I must’ve gone to sleep again because I woke with a start when the alarm went off at 6am. I sat up and reached across AJ to turn it off. I went to move away but AJ held me there.

“Goodmorning” He said

“Morning” I answered laying my head in his neck

“Adam and I had quite an interesting conversation last night after you went to bed” He said

“Oh? What about?” I asked curiously

“You” He replied

“What about me?” I asked sitting up and looking at him. He smiled.

“Just what you were like before all this, how you’ve changed, what goes on with you” He said

“And?” I asked

“And he said that you are a really great friend” He said

“What else” I probed

“He told me some stuff that you and Taz used to do” He said with a chuckle

“We did some weird stuff” I said

“Yeah and he loved every second of it. He values both your friendships. That’s why he’s leaving tomorrow” He said

“He’s going?” I asked and jumped out of bed. I pulled on some clothes and ran quietly down the hall and went into Adam’s room. He was sitting on his bed with his lap top out.

“You’re leaving tomorrow?” I asked

“Yeah, I figured it’d be best” He said with a nod. I went and sat beside him

“Is that what your hearts telling you to do?” I asked

“Yep, though I think the damage is already done” He said.

“AJ told me some of the stuff you said” I said to him

“Yeah” He answered

“You’re an awesome person Adam and I love you” I said nudging him. He laughed and gave me a quick hug before shutting down his laptop.

“Can you learn some songs really quick?” I asked him, eyeing his violin sitting on the desk

“Depends” He replied

“If I give you some sheet music can you try?” I asked

“How long have I got?” He asked

“Until about 5:30 this afternoon” I said

“I’ll try” He said. I grinned and stood up. I went back down the hall and got all our sheet music for some of the songs we do in a set from my guitar case and took it back down to him. He flipped through it and nodded.

“I’ll see what I can do. Why do you want me to learn it?” He asked

“Because you are doing a show with us tonight” I said

“But you don’t have a show planned, and I probably won’t be able to learn them all in a day” He said

“Just do your best. I have a phone call to make” I said. He shrugged.

“I’m having coffee first” He called after me

“Ok” I called back and jogged down the hall to mine and AJ’s room. I went in and found AJ talking on his mobile phone. He looked up in surprise when I came in.

“Don’t mind me” I said and grabbed my mobile off the charger. I went downstairs and found Adam making a coffee with the espresso machine. I picked up the house phone and dialled Kev’s number which I found on my mobile.

“Hello” He aid. He sounded more alert than anyone was allowed to be at this hour.

“Kevvy” I cooed

“What can I do for ya Jai?” He asked

“Well, Adam’s leaving tomorrow and I wanna send him off with a bang, so can we have a show tonight?” I asked

“I think it might be a bit late to organise hun, I’d think the clubs would already have the acts lined up” He said

“Street Concert?” I asked in hope

“Well we’d need techies to help and soundies” He said

“What about the backstreet troop?” I asked

“Mmm. Maybe. I’ll make some phone calls at a more decent hour and while you guys are doing the whole release thing and I’ll let you know. Are you sure Jenn should be doing a show this far into her pregnancy?” He asked

“I’m sure she’d love to do it, we can have an ambulance on hand anyway right? And we can always give her a stool” I said

“Alright, you ask Taz and Jen and I’ll make some calls” He said

“One more thing” I said

“Here we go…” He trailed off

“Can Adam perform too?” I asked with a laugh

“Sure” He said

“Jawesome, I gotta go now Kevvy, luvs you. C u bye!” I said

“Bye Jaime” He said. I hung up and jumped up and down on the spot

“This is gonna be so much fun” I said grabbing my packet of smokes off the counter and going out onto the deck, Adam not far behind me.

“You know it’s been really fun staying with you” He said

“Really? I thought you would’ve gotten sick of all our late nights and early mornings” I grinned

“Well I’m used to it from work” He shrugged

“One day maybe you could come on tour with us as our chef and Jason could be our massage therapist” I said

“That’s be awesome” He laughed. I nodded and quickly had my smoke. We had to be at the CD store by 8.

Chapter 43

*NOTE* The following chapter contains songs released by various famous artists but in this story they are Dysfunct songs. If you don’t like this, too bad, cos this is my story, not yours.

The release was going really well. We’d been signing the singles and taking pictures with fans when Kev came over and smiled.

“Good news” He grinned as he also signed the cd I was previously signing

“We can do the show?” I asked

“Uh huh, it’s gonna cost me a bit, but right now the Backstreet Crew are helping police cordon off a section of beach and get a stage set up for you guys” He said

“Oh my god Kev you are the best you have no idea how  much I love you right now” I said

“You’ll just have to make it up to me” He grinned and went over to tell Taz and Jenn. I grabbed out my mobile and dialled Adam’s number, he answer on the 5^th ring.

“How’s it goin?” I asked

“Good, I’m doin pretty well, I know most of the songs already, I’m just working on Red Gum now” he said

“Well, the concert is a go ahead, so keep working” I said

“Will do” He said. I hung up and pulled aside one of the workers at the cd shop.

“Would you be able to photo copy this for me?” I asked after scribbling ‘Dysfunct Concert, Main Beach 12:30pm’ with some cool drawings. I wasn’t sure if anyone would believe it so I got the other 2 to sign the bottom as I had. She took it out the back and closed a door. I smiled at a girl who was about my age, she was holding the cd and a camera.

“Hey there” I said to her

“Jaime, oh my god it’s such an honour to meet you” She gushed

“Can you do me a favour?” I asked

“Oh I would love to do you a favour” She said

“There’s going to be a dysfunct concert this afternoon, but no one kow’s about it, would you be able to hand out some leaflets for me?” I asked

“Fuck yeah” She said and gasped, clamoing her hand over her mouth. I laughed and grinned at her.

“Alright, and for that you can have us sing any song for you, what’ll it be?” I asked

“Just sing any song and dedicate it to me” She managed to get out

“I can do that, what’s your name?” I asked

“Kelly Harrison” She said. The chick that did the photocopying handed me a stack of paper and I gave it to Kelly. I signed her cd and got the rest of the girls to have a photo with us and than she started handing out the leaflets, a big smile on her face.. We signed a few more and than called it quits, saying we had to get ready for the Beach concert we were doing. We all piled into the mini bus and made a quick detour back to AJ’s house to get Adam and a change of clothes for us girls. On the way to the beach the 3 of us got changed. Jenn was wearing a pair of black dress pants, her heels and a shiny light blue maternity halter neck, it covered her massive bump really well, with out being too tight. Taz had on a denim skirt and her black lace up knee high boots with a punk tee. I was wearing my usual get up, baggy jeans, skate shoes and my Nirvana top. Adam looked good too. He had on his jeans and his cool black shirt that he wore to his friends Formal. It looked so hott on him. Jenn, Taz and I started doing a warm up as we neared the beach while Kev and the others worked out a playlist that we probably wouldn’t follow anyway. Adam sat quietly, probably psyching himself up. When we arrived there was already a fairly big crowd and I saw some vendors had set up shop on the boardwalk just up from where we’d be doing the show. As we all climbed out of the van a few fans recognised us and came over. They were all pretty cool, most of them were teenagers over 16 but there were a few little kids with their parents, who also liked our music. I noticed Kelly was still handing out leaflets up on the boardwalk and people were stopping to look around. Of course touring with the backstreets boys got us used to big crowds, but when they were all here for you and you only, that was a big thing and I started to get a little nervous. I quickly sparked up a smoke and had 3 draws consecutively. AJ chuckled and came over giving me a hug.

“I can tell your nervous” He grinned.

“I don’t think we’ve had a crowd this big for us” I said, looking at them all

“get used to it babe” He said, kissing my cheek. Jenn was sitting down, smiloing at nothing in particular, holding her stomach with both hands. I handed my smoke to AJ and went over to her.

“What’s doing?” I asked, trying to make my voice normal

“Bub’s kicking” She said. I smiled as she placed my hand on her stomach and felt the thud of the baby kicking.

“I think she’s getting impatient” I grinned

“You think?” Jenn laughed. I chuckled and went back to AJ, taking my smoke back off him and deciding we shuld probably go and start getting ready.

“Come on let’s go” I said to my friends. We trudged across the sand and up on to the stage, greeting people and fans as we went by. The guys waited off stage while Adam, jenn, Taz and I started plugging our instruments in and tuning them up. Taz warmed up on the drums and adjusted the mic so she could sing into it. Jenn played a bit of a riff and I made sure my guitar was in tune by playing the Chord Walk and grinned at the people who were gazing up at us in amazement. When we were all ready I called them over and looked at the play list in my hands.

“I think today’s show would be an ideal time to do some of our new songs that we’ve been writing that weren’t included on the cd” I said

“Like I Didn’t Steal Your Boyfriend?” Taz asked with a grin

“Why not?” I said

“When?” Jenn asked

“Maybe 4 or 5 songs in, is that ok with you?” I asked Adam

“Yeah, I’m not real good at it yet, but I can try” He said

“Well you don’t have to play if you don’t want” I said

“I’ll see” I said.

“Ok up first we’ve got 24 Hours To Civilisation, damn Kev, that is so hard to do live” I grumbled.

“We can do it” Taz said

“Adam can you just try your hardest to copy the guitar riff on your violin?” I asked. He grinned and nodded.

“Listen to me for the count in, not Jenn and Jai who’ll be talking to the crowd right up until we start, watch me too” Taz said

“The count in goes for 10, that gives us enough time to finish what we’re saying. He nodded and fitted his earpiece properly. We all did the same and went back to our places. Jenn nodded to me and I stepped up to my mic, my guitar slung over my shoulder and on my back.

“Hel-lo!” I greeted warmly, my nerves getting worse. Everyone cheered.

“Wow, for a concert we only just decided to have, a LOT of people have showed up” I said, shielding my eyes and looking out at everyone.

“Thank you all so much for coming, we appreciate all your support” Jenn added

“Who was at the release this morning?” I asked. A fair few people cheered.

“Again, thank you all for supporting us, you are all wonderful” Jenn said

“I’ve got some people out in the audience who I’m sure all of us would love to say hello too. AJ, Nick, Kev, our gorgeous manager, Howie, Kelly, thank you so much for handing out the leaflets” She added

“Now I’d like to introduce our temporary 4^th member who for today only has agreed to be up here with us. Everyone say hello to Adam” I said as Taz neared the end of the count.

“This one’s from our brand new album” Jenn said as Adam and I started playing at exactly the same time. We started our conversation/song and I watched and saw some people miming along and grinned. After that we launched straight into Australian Sunsets. Kev had some covers on our playlist and I thought that was cool. After Australian Sunsets we did It’s Gotta Be You, which I dedicated to Kelly. Adam was doing really well, improvising when he saw fit and we all sounded good together. The crowd were loving it too. We had 5 songs left and the next on the list was I Was Only 19 by Redgum and I tried to quieten the crowd somewhat.

“This next song is a very special song and I’m going to dedicate it to all the American, Australian and New Zealand soldiers that have died during the wars that have happened in our world and afterwards I’m going to ask that we have 1 minute silence to remember them” I said and nodded to Taz and Adam. Mostly everyone was quiet as we sang, some held up the arms and swayed along. I always got emotional sining this song, mainly because my grandfather was in the war and of course because of the people that had died whilst in this new war with Iraq. When it came to Adam’s violin solo, I waved him towards the front of the stage and watched him, getting right into it. The song always brought back memories of watching ‘The ANZACs’ and I got tears in my eyes. As one trickled down my cheek I turned my head to try and hide it from those close enough to the stage to see it. I saw Jenn momentarily stop playing to wipe a tear of her own away. She glanced over at me and I grinned a little. She smiled back and concentrated on playing the bass whilst keeping it off her belly a little. Adam stepped back as the violin solo ended and all of us stopped and applauded him, the entire crowd going off as well. Taz counted back in and we finished the song. The last song we did we invited the guys up on the stage to join us and performed Beautiful Woman with them. That was the most fun I’d had on stage in a long time as the guys and us all mucked around. I’ll probably never forget that day, or as long as I live. It was just so much fun.

Chapter 44

We’d stayed to help pack up and than put Adam on his plane before migrating to Nick’s poolside. I was floating on a blow up chair with my sunglasses and my bikini on while everyone else was either in the spa or laying on deck chairs. The conversation was almost nonexistent.

“Kev” I said

“Yeah” He answered

“When do Dysfunct start touring?” I asked

“When we organise it” He said

“Well what are we doing sitting around on our asses? Let’s do this” I said paddloing over to the side and getting out.

“We can’t just organise it, we need a sponsor, venue’s, transport, accommodation” He said

“We can discuss” I said

“Jai, don’t you wanna relax?” AJ asked

“No, you guys always drummed into our heads that hard and constant work got you where you are today and Kev if you’re not up to the job I can find someone else” I said

“Jaime?” Taz asked

“What” I said turning around and brushing tears away from my eyes

“Since when did you care so much?” She asked

“Since I’m fucking broke. I don’t know about you Tara but I’ve poured every fucking cent into this band” I said and stormed inside. I started pulling on my clothes over my damp swimmers struggling to hold back the tears. I saw Jenn standing in the door way and stopped. She opened her arms and I went into them.

“Taz is going out with Nick tonight and Jason and AJ are planning the bucks night or something, so why don’t we have an Us night in my little flat” She suggested

“Ok” I answered

“I think We’re all gonna sit outside and have a little chat about our tour” She grinned

“Good” I said

“You ok?” Kev asked me coming inside.

“I’m sorry” I said

“No, you were right and I’m sorry” He said giving me a quick hug

“Taz angry?” I asked

“No, she understands” Jenn said. I nodded and followed them back outside, after Kev had gotten some pens and paper for us all.

“Sorry” I said to Taz, nudging her a little

“Forget about it” She grinned and nudged me back. AJ nodded me over and I went and sat between his legs. Kev handed out the pens and paper and went and sat at the table.

“Ok, now, guys we’re just here as a little hep, this isn’t our tour so we’re not gonna have riders or demands, just input” Kev said

“What about those of us touring with them?” Nick piped up

“No, this is about the girls” Kev said. I smiled.

“Ok first of all let’s work out the general cost of all this” He said

“how do we do that?” I asked

“We just add up general costs of everything, like the accommodation and transport etc” AJ said to me

“Ok everyone write down their own costs and we’ll compare prices and get a generalised price” Kev said

“Does this generalised price include Diapers and bottles for me?” she asked

“Ahh, no” Kev said, I knew he was thinking though, ‘I can pay for those’” He gave jenn a knowing look and we all went to our price lists. AJ and I worked together and he was whispering the things I needed to put down and the prices in my ear. He’d also kiss my shoulder and neck very gently every so often. I was amazed at how much our general cost turned out to be.

“Ok we got our prices?” Kev asked

“Yeah” We all sung out, it was like being at school again

“Ok, girls you go first than us guys will, Taz?” He said

“My generalised cost is $250,000” She said

“Jenn” He said

“$788.975” She said. Kev nodded and looked over to me.

“My estimate is rounded off to 2.5 Million” I said

“How’d you get that figure?” Jenn said, schocked

“That’s actually about right” Kev said

“you’re kidding” Taz said

“Nope, I’m assuming AJ helped you and your tour is world” Kev said

“Yup and Yup” I grinned

“Ok, Nick what was your price?” Kev said

“2.5 Mil” He said

“Bri?” Kev asked looking at Brian who’d also offered to help manage us

“3 Mil, that’s allowing for Jenn’s diapers and bottles, as well as public discrepancies” he said

“Hmm, alright, D?” Kev said looking over at Howie who was smiling at Jenn as they talked. I’m glad they were getting along better now.

“Oh yeah 2.5-3 Mil” He said

“Alright, mine is the same. So now let’s try and think of sponsors who would be able to fork out that much money” Kev said, using an Australian term. I chuckled quietly and tried thinking.

“The Backstreet Boys” I said with a grin

“Indeed, put us down, of course we’ll all have to discuss it, privately, anyone else?” he asked

“Jive” I said

“That’s a definite, if they don’t sponsor at least part of the tour, they’re up for a big lawsuit because it’s in your contract that you’d get money for tours” Kev said

“Ok, so we’ve got you guys and jive, what about KISSFM?” Jenn said

“No local radio stations, only overseas ones. Like 104.1 2Day FM in Sydney” Brian popped up

“Well what aboutn them?” Jenn said

“Sure, let’s put them down” Kev said. We all scribbled it down and I again racked my brain, but I couldn’t come up with anyone else, Taz came up with a few good ones and we left it at 7 sponsors.

“Now where would you guys wanna stay?” Kev asked

“Not in an expensive hotel, because that’s the first place they look” I said, speaking from experience.

“Middle class?” AJ suggested

“Well I was thinking self contained apartments, For Jenn’s sake. They’re not all that expensive, no one would know and we can possibly buy them, so each tour we’ve got somewhere to stay, we could even use them when we’re not touring” I said

“That’s a really good idea, but we’ll have to think about that. We’ll need 3 one with 2 bedrooms, or all with 2 bedrooms cos I’m sure you’ll all have kids at some point” Brian said. AJ shifted uncomfortably and I wondered what he was doing and hoped he did want kids.

“Well other than apartments, yeah, Middle class hotels” Jenn said

“And what about transport, you’ve got 2 options really, we can bus it or fly, Flying will be a little more expensive, but quicker” Kev said

“Bus it” All three of us said together

“Jenn are you sure? It’s hard bringing a child on tour, even harder when you’re in a bus” Brian said to her

“I realise that, but I’d like to experience buses before we fly to all our dates” She said

“Do we get a bus each?” Taz asked

“No, not unless you can afford it” Kev said with a half smile

“Well Taz and Nick, why don’t you guys go with Kev, because I know how much you guys value you’re sleep and quiet time, AJ and I will go with Jenn, Jas and bub” I said. AJ nodded in agreement

“Are you sure?” Jenn asked

“Yep, I can do without sleep and I don’t need THAT much energy to play a guitar and sing, Taz needs a lot because she’s throwing her arms around constantly” I said

“Sure we can do that” Kev said with a nod. As the afternoon turned to dusk we discussed our tour which wouldn’t occur until Jenn’s baby was at least 2 months old and they’d settled into a routine. Jenn, AJ and I drove back to mine and AJ’s place and I had a quick shower and changed into my baggy shorts and t shirt and grabbed my PJ’s and stuffed them into a bag along with my wallet and everything else I’d need. AJ drove us to her and Jason’s apartment and dropped us off, at the same time, picking Jason up.

Chapter 45

We’d both changed into our pyjama’s and were watching Revenge Of The Nerds and pigging out on various lollies, chips, popcorns and drinks.

“Jai” Jenn said calmly

“Yeah” I said turning to her. She was laying on the couch while I was on a double mattress on the floor.

“You’d better call an ambulance and than call Jason” She said

“The baby?” I asked, sitting up. She nodded and started breathing, like she’d been taught at her antenatal classes. I jumped up and grabbed the phone up, getting an ambulance and than dialling Jason’s mobile number on my way to their bedroom to grab her bag of stuff.

“Jas, hey, don’t get too worried but Jenn’s gotta go to the hospital, the baby’s coming early” I said in a rush

“We’ll be thjere in about 10” he said

“No, go to the hospital” I said

“Ok, we’ll I’ll meet you there” He said. I hung up and quickly dialled Kev’s number,.

“Kev, hey, you’d better meet me at the hospital” I said

“What, why?” He asked, he sounded half asleep

“Jenn” I said

“Now?” He asked

“Right now” I said

“Ok, well I’ll meet you there, did you call Jas?” He asked

“Uh huh, he’s on his way top the hospital” I said

“Ok” He said and hung up. I grabbed Jenn’s bag and answered the door to the paramedics. I helped them get Jenn on a stretcher and asked if I could ride with them, to make sure she was ok. They agreed and I climbed in the back with her.

“Why did you call an ambulance?” The paramedic in the back asked

“We don’t have a car tonight and I’ve been drinking” I said

“It was very sensible of you” He said with a flirtatious grin. I half smiled back and looked down at Jenn who appeared to be in agony, though she didn’t make a sound, just gritted her teeth and tried to breath.

“Here, hold my hand, babe” I said. She gripped my hand so tight I thought it’d break.

“I’m NOT doing this again” She said as the contraction passed and she continued to breath

“I hope you don’t mind, but I called Kev too” I said

“God I completely forgot about him” She said

“It’s ok, he’s coming” I said

“Jas?” She asked

“he’s meeting us at the hospital with AJ” I said. She nodded and gritted her teeth and squeezed my hand as another contraction hit. The paramedic put an oxygen mask over her mouth and nose and started coaching her.

“You’ve done this before?” I asked him as he asked her if he could undress her from the waist down. She nodded, still in agony.

“No, this is my first baby” He said with a shrug as he started pulling her panties down and hitching her nightgown up.

“Yo, Steve you’d better hurry up cos this baby wants to come out right now” he called to his partner who was driving.

“Jennsen, I can see the head, and it’s coming out, but you’re not gonna push ok” He said

“Ok” She said and I could see her resisting the urge to push.

“Almost there” Steve called out.

“Come Jenn, don’t push” I said to her

“I’m not” She almost screamed, tears streaming down her face and sweat pouring off her. The ambulance screamed to a halt and Steve came racing around the back and let us all out. They started pushing her inside but than had to stop because she was too far into labour to wait. They called a Maternity Nurse and a doctor and than started trying to coach her on their own.

“Jaime” I heard my name being called and looked up to see AJ, Kev and Jason running towards me.

“She’s too far into labour to get her up to the maternity ward” I said dumbly. Jason took my place at her bedside and held her hand. 3 Nurses and a doctor came running out and explained quickly to Jenn and Jas that she couldn’t have an epidural out here and that they’d help her get through the pain. Kev was standing back, just watching. 2 of the nurses were holding her legs up and apart, while the paramedics were keeping bystanders away. The other nurse was dutifully wiping her face while Jason stayed calm and coached her through. AJ and I were a safe distance away, but were still able to watch, he was holding me tightly and I wasn’t complaining. Suddenly the night air was pierced  with the high pitched cry of a newborn baby. Tears clouded my eyes and I pulled AJ over.

“Congratulations Jennsen, you’ve got a baby boy” Said the doctor and the people standing around erupted into applause.

“let’s get her up to the maternity ward” The doctor said. I watched as Jenn looked at Kev, tears streaming down her face and a smile on her lips. He waved gently and than they were taking her inside. We all followed. Jason offered to let Kev cut the umbilical cord and Kev accepted, but said that they should both do it, so they did. It was a beautiful moment and I burst into tears and buried my face in AJ’s neck, sobbing so hard I nearly choked.

“That’s gonna be us one day baby” He whispered in my ear, rubbing my back gently. I couldn’t handle it and started sobbing even harder. Jenn called me over after they’d cleaned up the baby and I went over. The little boy was in a hospital crib beside her bed, Kev and Jas congratulating each other by his crib. I grabbed her hand and grinned at her.

“You’re a mummy” I said

“Thank you” She said. I bent down and hugged her, than congratulated both Kev and Jason, hugging each of them.

“Have you named him?” I asked

“We all decided on Drake Joseph” Jason grinned. I looked up at Kev and saw a tear slip down his cheek. Taz burst into the room, Nick not far behind her.

“Did we miss it?” She asked

“yeah, sorry hun” Jenn said

“Oh, who cares, where is the little tyke?” She asked and went over to the crib. She shook his little hand and introduced herself before the doctor ushered us all out, saying to come back tomorrow. We all hugged Jenn goodbye and left the room, finding Howie out in the waiting area.

“I couldn’t bring myself to go in” He said with a shrug

“Come with us tomorrow” I said. He nodded and we walked outside, going our seperate ways. Jas had stayed behind, insisting he wasn’t going anywhere.

AJ and I drove home in silence, both of us thinking about Jenn, the baby and how beautiful it was. When we got home I realised I was still in my pyjamas and started laughing.. AJ laughed too and pulled me into a hug.

“You’ll have to make a statement to the press tomorrow” He said

“Yeah, I know” I said

“Kev’s organising it right now” He said. I nodded and sat down on the lounge. He sat beside me, putting his arm around my shoulder and holding me closer. The phone rang and AJ reached over and picked it up. He spoke for a minute and than hung up.

“Kev said that the statement will be made tomorrow morning at 10:30 at the hospital” He said. I nodded again.

“I think I might go have a bath, just relax” I said

“Ok” He said

“Come with?” I asked. He smiled and stood up, letting me pull him upstairs. I filled our gigantic tub with hot water and added bubble bath before lighting a couple of candles, turning the lights out and undressing, waiting until AJ got in. I got in after him and lay with my back to him and his arms around my stomach.

“I’m glad Jenn and the Baby are ok” I said softly

“Yeah same” He answered

“how do you think Kev and Jas feel?” I asked

“I think Kev would be a little overwhelemed, Jason looked pretty calm, but he might be feeling some pretty weird things” AJ replied, rubbing a circle around my belly button.

“What am I gonna say at this press conference?” I asked

“Just tell them the truth, Jennsen had her baby, all publicity, tour dates blah blah blah will be postponed until Mum and Baby are settled” He replied

“Yeah spose” I answered. His mobile started ringing and he leaned over the edge of the tub to reach it.

“Yello” He greeted whoever it was and paused.

“Now’s not a good time, can I call you later?” He said. His voice had softened slightly

“Yep alright, later” He said and hung up, tossing his phone onto our pile of clothes and settling back down.

“Who was that?” I asked

“Just Nick” He said. I nodded and thought nothing more of it. I turned over, so I was on my stomach and straddled his legs. He rubbed his arms up and down my arms and smiled at me. I grinned mischievously and staring sliding my hand up and down his limp penis, feeling his response almost immediately.

“Oh god baby, not now” He groaned

“Why not?” I cooed

“I’m not in the mood” He said, struggling to stay in control

“I am” I murmured and kissed his neck. As his erection grew bigger he lost control and allowed himself to enjoy the feeling.

“I want to fuck you so bad” I said in his ear as I kissed his neck.

“Oh fuck me” He grunted

“Not here” I teased and stopped, climbing out of the tub and hurriedly drying myself off before disappearing out of the bathroom.

“No, you can’t do this” He whined. I heard him getting out of the tub and drying himself off so I carefully positioned myself on the bed. He emerged and a smile spread across his face as he made his way towards me. He climbed on top of me and guided himself inside of me. It’d been a while since we last made love and as we got more into I let myself go completely, neither of us were speaking. Our eyes met and I gazed into his, feeling nothing but love and pleasure. He buried his head in my neck and I heard him mumbling something. I couldn’t understand him, but I didn’t wanna spoil the moment by asking him what he was saying. As we both neared our release he lifted his head and closed his eyes.

“Oh God Emma” He moaned loudly as we both reached that point and tipped over the edge.

“Who’s Emma?” I asked, pulling the sheet over me and sitting up.

“What?” He asked

“You called out Emma. I want to know who she is” I said, struggling to stay calm, obviously there was a good explanation for why he called out her name, instead of mine.

“I did? No, I said Jaime” He said, very unconvincingly.

“Are you cheating on me?” I asked

“No” He said, also covering himself with the sheet

“Than why did you say Emma, instead of Jaime?” I asked

“I don’t know” He said

“Who is she” I said

“A friend” He said, looking away

“You’re the biggest fucking liar I’ve ever met” I said angrily. I got out of bed and grabbed a clean set of clothes.

“jai, wait, I love you” He said

“But you fucking called out another girls name, while we were making love” I said, hurriedly dressing

“So?” He asked

“So it’s fucking insulting to find out your boyfriend is imagining someone ELSE while he’s with you” I screamed

“Jesus Jaime, I said I was sorry what else do you want me to do?” He asked, anger written all over his face. I’d started shoving clothes in a little bag and he snatched it off me and threw it behind him.

“Fuck off” I said. He grabbed my wrists so tight he was cutting the circulation off

“You know what? I am sleeping with another girl, do you wanna know why? Because you seem to always be so busy with yourself, or someone else that I’ve missed out. How do you think that makes me feel? You forced me to do it” He snapped. I stared at him in shock and shook my head.

“It’s MY fault that you’re sleeping with some little fucking slut? Let me the fuck go” I said gaining my strength and shoving him away. He raised his fist and I stepped back in fear but faced him.

“Don’t you fucking dare” I said through gritted teeth. He threw his fist and instead of hitting me it hit the wall beside my head. I pushed past him and went to get my back.

“Let’s talk it over, work it out” He said, again struggling to control himself, but for a completely different reason than before.

“No, you calm yourself the fuck down and than we might talk” I said and walked out of the room.

“Jaime, wait” He called out. I jogged down the stairs and grabbed my wallet and mobile phone from the kitchen. I dialled the number for a taxi and went out the front, slamming the door. I left AJ’s property and walked up the road a little before the operator answered.

“yeah I need a cab to Mount Dewitt St, I’m on the corner” I said

“There’s one in that area, it’ll be a 2 minutes wait” The chick said

“Thanks” I said and hung up. The taxi arrived and I got in, checking my wallet to see how much money I had.

“Hey, can you take as far as $20 will take me? I need to get to the hospital” I said.

Chapter 46

The Cab driver dropped me off as far as the 20 took me and said I’d have a 15 minute walk to the hospital. I said thanks, paid and was now nearly to the hospital, my bag slung over my shoulder. I went straight up to the maternity ward and went to the desk.

“Hi, I’m Jaime Cobain, Jenn Pena’s friend” I said

“Sorry hun, no visitors” She said

“I just need to see someone familiar, I had a real rough half hour just now. Found out the love of my life is cheating on me, but I understand about the visitors, I’ll just camp out the front” I said as tears started dribbling down my face.

“Oh sweet heart, go right on through. Jenn and Jason are still up, talking” She said

“Thanks” I said, half smiling. She patted my hand reassuringly and I sniffled and started down the hall to Jenn’s room. When I went in, Jas was holding Drake and he and Jenn were smiling and talking softly.

“Hey” I said softly

“Jaime, what’s wrong?” Jenn asked, sitting up and wincing a little

“Oh, you know, boyfriend is a cheating cunt, stuck in the states because of dysfunct, the usual” I said as I went over

“What did he do?” Jason asked

“He called out Emma’s name while we were making love” I said and started crying all over again. Jas put Drake in his little crib and let me have his seat.

“Jai, I’m so sorry” Jenn whispered, taking my hand and squeezing it.

“He said it was my fault, because I pushed him away. I didn’t, he of all people should know what it’s like when you’re first getting started. I’m so tired and I can’t think of anything else but the band” I sobbed

“Wait here, I’ll go get you a drink” Jas said. I nodded and he disappeared.

“He went to hit me, but instead hit the wall beside me” I said

“What a bastard” She said

“I left my fucking smokes there” I said

“Hey, it’s ok, look” She said pointing to her bedside table. I saw a packet of smokes and managed a smile. She slid out of her hospital bed and grabbed them up, leading me by hand over to her private balcony where we both lit a smoke.

“When you had Drake, he said to me ‘one day that’ll be us’ and I believed him” I said

“Why don’t you go and stay at our place for a while, you and he can calm down and than I’ll play mediator while you guys talk it over” She said, wrapping her arm around my shoulder

“I knew all along, that getting involved with him emotionally was a bad idea, but still, I let myself fall and now I’ve fallen so far and so fast that the fucking spikey rocks at the bottom are going to kill me when my fall ends” I said

“Hey, you’re not gonna die” She said

“But it hurts so much” I said, a fresh set of tears pouring down my cheeks. Jason came out, with 3 cokes in his hands and passed one to Jenn and one to me and pulled a chocolate out of his pocket.

“I know that chicks like chocolate when they’re upset, so I hope you like white chocolate jai” He said. I laughed and took it off him, opening it, taking a bite and offering it around. They both had a bite and let me finish the rest.

“I might take Drake back to the nursery, while you 2 talk” He saod softly

“Thanks hun” Jenn said and kissed him on the cheek before he left. We sat down on the seats and drank our cokes in silence.

“After this tour I think we should have a break” Jenn said

“Maybe” I said

“This is just all happening too much, we all need to stop and think about our lives and what we want to do with them” She said

“That actually sounds like a really good idea” I said

“We can be one CD Wonders” She laughed. I chuckled and she gave me a hug.

“Keep your chin up hun, at least he’s showed you his true colours now, instead of when you’re married with some kids” She said

“True” I said

“Go back to mine and Jas’ place and rest up” She said. I nodded and we both stood, going back inside just as Jason came back into the room.

“Hunny, can you give Jai the spare Key’s to our place?” She asked him

“Sure” He said grabbing a set out of his pocket and handing them to me. I asked Jenn if I could borrow some money for a taxi, said good bye and left, going straight to their place. I made up a bed on the couch and put on my Green Day cd, that I haven’t listened to in ages and started venting my frustration by singing. By the time I’d finished all the CD’s I had I was completely wiped out and snuggled into the lounge falling asleep straight away.

Chapter 47

As planned we waited until Jenn and Drake had gotten into a bit of a routine and than went on tour. We were currently at a Macca’s, having my 20^th birthday party in Europe, Paris I think. I’d completely lost track of time, the city we were in and the country we were in, we were all tired and we still had to fly to Australia for some shows and to do a Video Hits thing where Dysfunct hijacked the show and played our favourite videos. After my small party we were taken to the airport where we boarded the plane. I slept the entire way and when we arrived at our hotel instead of going out, as I usually would suggest, I went to bed, Taz and Jenn did too. Kev and Jas stayed up for a while and got some things worked out for us. Kev had dubbed Jas his unofficial co manager. The wake up call for some promotional shit came at 7:30am the next day. We went to the radio station and did an interview, Jacquie-O made the obvious observation that we all looked tired and run down. Than she proceeded to ask the dreaded question about relationships.

“Are you all in relationships?” She asked

“I am, Jason and I are very happy together with our son, Drake” Jenn said

“Who is absolutely adorable” Jacquie-O said peering through the windows at Jason who was holding Drake

“Nick and I are still together” Taz announced with a smile. Jacquie’s eyes fell on me.

“I’m not in a relationship right now “ I said

“But I thought you and AJ were joined at the hip” She said

“Well we were, but we had a few problems and decided to call it quits” I said

“Is there a reconciliation evident in the future?” She asked

“No, I don’t think so. We’re still good friends and we suit each other better that way” I lied. After a few more questions the interview ended and we were ushered off to the Entertainment Centre to do a sound check before the concert. We went through the motions, trying not to use up too much of our energy and than went back to the hotel to rest and freshen up. I took advantage of the swimming pool and did a few laps before relaxing in the sun on a deck chair. Jenn and Taz appeared at my side, Jenn was holding Drake and I held my arms out. I took him off her and talked to him gently.

“How are you doing?” Taz asked me

“I’m ok, just so tired” I said

“We know how you feel” Jenn said

“I’m not being a good rock star am I” I said with a bit of a chuckle

“Neither am I, what rock star brings a baby on tour?” Jenn said

“What rock star goes out with Nick Carter?” Taz said. We all laughed and sat in silence.

“Fuck it, let’s do something completely insane” I stated

“There’s the Jaime we know and love” Jenn said with a grin

“What are we gonna do almighty Jaime, Goddess of Insane Rock star bullshit” Taz said

“You know when we first started doing little sets at clubs?” I asked. Jenn and Taz nodded.

“Well remember how we always used to play better pissed?” I asked. Their eyes lit up and we all grinned.

“If we start now we can be sufficiently drunk by the concert and we’ll have beer’s waiting on the side of the stage for when we have those little breaks” I said. Jenn took Drake off me and we hurried up to our rooms and went into Kev’s, he looked up surprised to see us so energetic.

“Kev, hunny, we know you don’t like this but we think it’s about time we started acting like rock stars” Jenn said, placing Drake gently in the pram beside Jason

“What are you guys up to?” He asked cautiously

“We’re pissing up” I said with a shrug

“Before a show?” Kev asked, rather stupidly if you ask me

“Well, yeah” Taz said

“Don’t make a habit of it” He said, knowing we’d do it even if he didn’t want us too. We disappeared from the room and burst into mine, attacking the mini bar with a fury we didin’t know we had. In quick succession the 3 of us downed 3 mini vodka bottles, 2 cans of beer each, a tiny bit of tequila and whatever else we could get our greedy hands on. Than we moved on to Jenn’s room and did the same. By that time we were laughing hysterically at nothing in particular. Kev came in and told us to start getting ready, so we had another beer before we did. Before we went to the Entertainment Centre we made the driver stop and than made Kev go in and get us a carton of beer and some ice. We’d gotten an esky and were now in the process of filling it up. The actual concert was interesting, we stumbled around on stage and Kev actually agreed we sounded a little better when drunk. We went out and arrived back at the hotel at 7am and went to bed. We got woken up for another sound check and I spent most of it with my head in the toilet, spewing my hole up. Jenn and Taz didn’t fair any better, they were also as sick as me and as a result Drake had be given a bottle. We got through the show and headed on down to Melbourne where a fan told me she was excited cos she was gonna se us AND Green Day live. I decided I’d get a ticket when they went on sale. That Sunday we flew back to Sydney and arrived early at Fox studios where we’d be filming the hijack show and had a quick run through with the directors and Axle, the host. We’d already put our lists in for the videos we wanted play, my list included a lot of Nirvana, AC/DC and a few of Green Day, Backstreet Boys and a few other 1 off clips I liked. The show was pretty cool, we talked to Axle, mucked around and had a few laughs. We than finished our tour and started preparing for the Forever Rebel film clip which we were filming in a shopping centre, bar and on an overpass. We advertised for a heap of extra’s and on the day of the first scene, where we trashed a mall, the car park was absolutely chockers with potential extra’s. Kev had forked out some of the money to cover the film clip while the record company paid for most of it. We had the run of the mall and were allowed trash certain things and not others. But first we started off in a trailer set up like a lounge room. where the director had us playing a game of snap. We were now starting the clip, we each had lines to say and when the director told us to, we had to start playing. The cards we were rigged so we wouldn’t get a snap, it was cool.

“Action” Whispered one of the assistants and I threw a card onto the already built up pile, Jenn threw a card on and than Taz.

“This sucks” Jenn said throwing down her cards and sitting back

“yeah, pretty lame” I replied. TYaz sat up straighter and grinned.

“How about a bit of shopping, Dysfunct style” She said. Jenn and I looked at each other and grinned. That was the end of that scene now we just had to get changed and go to the starting point in the mall. In this scene the 3 of us we wearing jeans, mine of course were baggy, as well as 3 different coloured singlets. Taz once again had crazy hair, for this particular scene it was brushed down over one side of her face with bits at the back sticking up and out. Jenn just had her hair in a pony tail and I had twirls and spikes with different colours on the tips. It was cool. As we started filming people with shopping bags and trolleys and little kids started walking around, like they normally would at a mall while Jenn, Taz and I started singing, walking towards some shops. By the end of the scene we’d thrown clothes around, tipped over shelves, thrown food everywhere, played in the fountain, pushed people over and used various seats as launching area’s for some really cool Gymnastics we’d learnt over the past month. After the gaurds had thrown us out of the mall we sat in the gutter.

“What now?” Taz asked

“How about some sight seeing” I said, grinning at them. This was the one I’d chosen, where we’d moon people from an overpass. The 3 of us positioned ourselves, with the help of safety harnesses, on the railing over the over pass. Thankfully the crashes down belowe were going to be staged. In this scene we were wearing denim shorts and again, different coloured singlets. We were singing and one of the assistants counted to 3 and than the 3 of us dropped our shorts and panties and mooned, than we were chased around by a copper, who didn’t catch us. We were leaning, puffing against a brick wall out side a bar, when Jenn suggested her idea. This one was gonna be fun. We started off, singing and dancing up on a stage and than we ended up egging Jenn on in a shot comp. They were only shooting water, which was a shame, but it was still fun. We made out that Jenn won and that was the Bar Brawl we caused, where the 3 of us were hitting people and breaking chairs and throwing bottles. This time we were caught by the copper and for the final scene we were sitting in a make shift jail cell.

“That was fun” I grinned

“Yeah” Agreed Taz, also grinning

“Should do it again some time” Jenn said and the 3 of us grinned into the camera. All up it too a day and a half to film but it was so worth it. 2 months later we released the single and announced we were having a break, for personal reasons, Nick and Taz’s break up being the most obvious. We didn’t see each other for a month until we all flew to Australia for some R&R. That’s when it really started getting interesting…
